About Homeka Capital
The story behind the Homeka name, the advisors who sharpen our thinking, and the Eephus Capital team that sponsors our work.

Koru · Pounamu · Family
Behind our name
Family is where Homeka begins.
The name Homeka is deeply personal. It is formed from the first two letters of each of our children’s names—a reminder that everything we build is anchored in family, responsibility, and long-term thinking. Home, for us, is more than a structure; it represents security, stability, and the foundation for a meaningful life.
The “O” is represented by a koru carved from pounamu, or New Zealand greenstone. Dan’s roots trace to New Zealand, where the koru symbolizes new beginnings and continuous growth. Pounamu adds the deeper meaning of protection, strength, and enduring value.
What guides us
Together, the pounamu koru represents:
- 01Growth that is grounded and safeguarded
- 02Deliberate, resilient progress—never rushed
- 03Capital that is protected first, then allowed to grow
- 04Value that deepens over time, not fades
- 05Honoring what came before while building forward
That philosophy shapes how we invest. Homeka Capital focuses on protecting investor capital first, then allowing it to grow intentionally over time. We partner with experienced operators and bring together investors who want access to multifamily opportunities they may not be able to pursue on their own—all while remaining truly hands-off.
When you invest with Homeka Capital, you invest alongside our family, our capital, and our values. We do not chase hype or shortcuts. We pursue thoughtful growth, strong fundamentals, and assets that can support families—including our own—through every stage of life.
If it does not honor the koru, we do not pursue it.
